University mixer opens club to Upper Peninsula women
An all university mixer for men and women was held at the Michigan League Ballroom on the Ann Arbor campus under the Hiawatha club. The group, previously for men only, plans to enroll UP women this month and operates a placement bureau led by Donald Counihan and Phil Westbrook. Senior high students planning future campus work may file applications before June to secure on campus employment. Current officers include Wheaton Strom president, Woodreau Frailing vice president, James George treasurer, Ward Quaal recording secretary, and James Sherman secretary.
