Bessemer Common Council Approves Repairs and Transfers
City officials approve payment of general and power fund claims and authorize repairs. A fire alarm box is funded for the Trenton mine property, road oil dealings with Standard Oil are addressed, and vacation rules for city employees are set. The council also advances a Harbor of Refuge project at Black River Harbor to boost tourism and approves license transfers and a $100 donation to the Fourth of July celebration. A new flasher light for the fire truck is authorized and Johnson Road street light installation is urged.
