Bessemer Class of 1930 Graduation Commencement Highlights
The 41st annual commencement at Washington gym on June 10 will award diplomas to 78 seniors, the largest class in the school's history. Hugh Elmer Brown, pastor of Evanston, IL, will give the commencement address and other addresses across Gogebic. The program includes selections by the High School Orchestra, salutatory by Lila Crook, valedictory by Darley Crenna, and diplomas presented by Dr. C. E Stevens. Class officers, motto No Prize Without A Struggle, flower Yellow Rose, colors Blue and Silver, with a long roll of graduates.

Contracts To Paint Schools Are Awarded
H. Bekman received the contract for painting Olcott, Tilden and Barber schools this summer in the township. The school board awarded the painting work to Glachertie and Chishom.

$9 250 Is Due Gogebic County
Demand that the State Administrative Board pay counties maintaining tuberculosis sanatoriums the sums due since November 1919 29 was made by the Finance Committee chair Dr J W Tewey Powers. The state is about $190000 in arrears in payments for indigent patients. Gogebic County is due $9250 for November 1 to June 1.
