Business Expert Sees Upward Turn In the Spring
Boston based United Business Service head Paul T. Babcgon told the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce executives that 1961 will mirror 1960 in most metrics but show a spring uptick. He outlined outlooks by sector including steel production near 100 million tons, automobiles at 6.4 million cars, building spending near 37 billion dollars, and stock averages around 570 to 683 for the Dow and 55 to 67 for the S&P.
