Water Dept to store pipe at Pleasure Park

The Water Commission gained permission from the Board of Selectmen to store pipe and other Water Department property in a fenced area of Pleasure Park off Route 102. A storage building may be erected later as the area, about two of the park’s 14 acres, will consolidate scattered town storage. The zoning issue is deferred until building starts. The panel also discussed acquiring more property in the watershed to prevent muddying the water supply by nearby woodcutters.
