Theories Offered To Explain UFOs In Bennington County
Three local residents Edward Apgar Andrew Miller and Paul Bohne offered views on the current wave of UFO sightings. Apgar a physicist at Bennington College cited NICAP materials and said most sightings fit known phenomena but a small percent remain unexplained. Bohne the weather observer urged cautious scientific study noting many reports match planets jets reflections or nacreous clouds and that extraterrestrial origin remains unproven. Miller a UFO study group member suggested biblical origins or past earth civilizations as possible explanations for the phenomena.
