Man Leaves Note Claiming Snake Bite Kills Him
In Jacksonville on Interstate 95 a man’s body lay in a wrecked car with a bloody pad note reading rattlesnake bite. Richard L. Davis, 39, was found with two puncture marks on his foot and a wallet note stating he was bitten trying to reach a hospital after hearing a noise in his car. Police say the scene suggests Davis left the note to aid doctors if he could not explain the bite. In San Francisco patrolmen chased two stray horses and a pursuing goat that followed into the corral, ending with the goat joining the chase and entering the scene.
