Oakes Details Vermont Land Sales Act Plan
Brattleboro Vermont Attorney General James L. Oakes urges passage of a Land Sales Practices Act to curb unscrupulous developers. The proposal would require full disclosure of sale conditions and title, register all subdivisions, and limit speculative land division to protect scenic areas, water, roads, taxes, and esthetics.
