Market unchanged as investors await June Iraqi power handover
New York stocks drifted near flat as weak and strong economic signals offset each other. Dow fell 0.01 percent to 10,379.58 while Nasdaq rose to 1,998.23 and S&P 500 edged to 1,133.60. Manufacturing output rose 1.1 percent in May, the strongest in six years, and housing starts beat forecasts, with total permit activity at 2.01 million. Oil concerns resurfaced after an Iraq sabotage disrupted exports, even as OPEC pledged to cover shortfalls ahead of Iraq's June 30 power handover.
