Police diverted traffic on Highway 146 when a southbound driver nearly struck a patrol car. He failed to yield, was arrested for evading arrest, held on 5000 bond, and charged with possession of controlled substances. A Channelview woman on Garth Road was stopped after reports of a reckless driver and found to be in possession of.
Police arrested a man at a home in the 1700 block of Alabama on a felony possession warrant and another man for hindering an arrest. The first suspect is held without bond, the second on $5,000 bond. Later, a 17-year-old allegedly punched a deputy at Pelican Junction and faces a pending felony assault charge with bond set at $5,000.
