Jackson Keeps Ruth, Maris From Themselves With Three Homers
Reggie Jackson blasted his 31st 32nd and 33rd homers as Oakland bombarded Seattle 5 0. He said he is not a 60 homer man yet and that comparisons to Ruth and Maris are premature. Jackson homered off Patston Segui with no runners aboard, one wind assisted near right field, a deep center shot, and a liner clearing the center wall. Oakland’s 72nd game featured his eighth multi homer game of the season amid AL scoring updates.
