Baytown Panel Finds Drug Problem, Seeks Solutions
Baytowns council appointed panel studying local drug use concluded there is a problem. Lt James P Taylor said the narcotics issue spans teens and adults with suppliers likely in Houston and Galveston, while Chief Blair Mann had argued the problem was overstated. 1967 had 15 narcotics cases. this year 11 filed, 68 incidents investigated with 90 percent non-tryable.
