Assault arrest ties Baytown man to Channelview burglary case
Police arrested a 43 year old Baytown man in the 6700 block of Juarez Street on a Harris County warrant for burglary of a habitation with intent to commit sexual assault. The alleged Jan. 21 attack occurred in Channelview as the woman he knew resisted and neighbors heard screams. Six other incidents and multiple thefts were reported in Baytown during the period, with 32 offense reports filed Thursday to Friday and 21 more Friday to Saturday. Six accidents in Mont Belvieu Feb 9 15 police report
Mont Belvieu Police investigated six crashes between February 9 and 15. A 35 year old Houston man was booked for DWI second offense after his tan 2000 Chevrolet pickup left a ditch on SH 146 February 9. A second DWI case followed February 10 as another driver ditched his truck near the same road. An unrelated theft involved a 12 by 6 trailer valued at 1500 dollars missing from Warren Road storage yard on February 15. A separate arrest on February 15 involved a 30 year old white male on a theft warrant for items from drilling rigs. A fuel theft totaling about 400 gallons occurred at Motel 6 lot on SH 146 as a red Freightliner left with a passenger.
