Plates gifted by Baytown artist tied to Tauch scenes
A Sunday feature recalls Baytown artist Albert Tauch painting plates as gifts for family in the early 1970s. One plate depicts Red Hill bay near the Fred Hartman Bridge with drilling rigs. another shows a distant mountain range. Bert Marshall details how plates may be hand painted or printed copies, notes Tauch’s generosity, and reflects on artists continually producing work to share or give away.
