Barbers Hill ISD Seeks Eight-Year Tax Limit Deals
Barbers Hill ISD endorses eight year value limitations on Cedar Bayou and Lone Star fractionators to gain supplemental payments totaling about 12.7 million over 10 years. District officials say the arrangement boosts local revenue despite reduced tax collections and potential state aid impact while the Foundation may receive a share of supplemental funds if designated later. The district asserts total benefit exceeds what taxes would have produced, as it relies on industrial growth agreements to offset Robin Hood school financing shifts.
