Misheard Quotes and Local Reflections From Baytown Mayor
In a humorous column the Baytown mayor reflects on misread sayings, corrected folklore about Good Lord willing and the Creek, and past errors about Popeyes naming, noting a teachable moment about language, culture, and local media humility. He recalls a church incident and distant origins of common phrases while poking fun at himself and readers.
