School District Ends Donations to Baytown Clinic

Charges In Case Dropped In Pine Bluff Theft
Carl Connerton of Baytown had charges in a theft of mortgaged property case dismissed in a Pine Bluff circuit court. A Harris County Sheriff's spokesman said the matter was resolved. Connerton claimed the dispute involved a financed television set bought from a Western Auto store and that he had completed payment.

City Candidates File Expense Statements
By Wednesday morning only three candidates in the April 6 city council race had filed after-election expense reports with the city clerk. Incumbent Mayor Glen Walker, running May 4 in a runoff with Don Hullum, reported 235 in donations and 332.21 in campaign expenditures. Carl Connerton reported 97.40 in expenses and no donations, Jack Bray 125 in donations and 250.46 in bills paid. Connerton had no before-election report and was added to the ballot shortly before the selection.

Mont Belvieu trustees vote to advertise for bids on stadium improvements including concession stands and restrooms on the visitors side.
