The Cosmopolitan Junior Garden club met Friday at the clubhouse with Mrs. Emily Moulton in charge. The group discussed garden designing and how to plan color schemes. City floats placed for another season
After recaulked and painted the city floats were placed in position Monday at the old ferry slip and foot of Broad street by the Highway and Sewer department employees. Dredging the slip dock caused a delay. Carl Crocker's scow and clamp shovel moved mud into the river. The dock loses several feet yearly due to tidal action, about three days needed for clearing. Harry G DeSilva 76 native of Bath died April 30 in Pensacola Florida where he had lived over 50 years. After Bath high school graduation in 1880 he joined John O Shaw bookseller. He moved to Florida becoming a leading business figure as Pioneer Planing Mill senior partner and later held roles with Home and Savings association and Pensacola Water Co. Survived by wife two sons Stuart and Prof Harry DeSilva and a daughter Irma DeSilva.

Charles W. Comeau a 28 year old riveter at Bath Iron Works died in Bath Memorial hospital after a three day illness of pneumonia. A native of Gloucester Mass he was a son of Ambrose and Emma W. Comeau and lived with his sister Mrs Annie Turcotte in Bath. He leaves his parents three sisters and one brother. The body was taken to his parents home in Braintree Mass and a funeral mass is planned there Friday morning.

Survived by brother William Moses Brown Bangor nieces Mrs. Philip Clement and Mrs. Fred Freeland Bangor nephew Everett Brown Munsur Los Angeles. Sister Julia Brown died three weeks earlier. Mrs Tucker left Wednesday for Bangor for funeral services.
