Former policeman vows to sue Bath city over garage blast injury
Robert D. Green a 25 year old Bath police officer says he will sue the City of Bath through a Portland law firm for compensation after the March 1 explosion that levelled Plant's garage killed two others. Green injured his face leg hip and was thrown to the street as he passed the rear of the garage. City officials say the city is not liable since he was off duty and on his way home. The city carries no employee insurance but a annual protection fund. Green argued he was on his last beat and near his home at the time of the blast. He was not reappointed by Mayor Donald N Small amid police force changes.
