Old Ladies Home Association Annual Meeting and Licensing Board Actions
The Old Ladies Home Association held its 63rd annual meeting with an unusually large attendance. Miss Anna M. Trott reported that income lagged expenses, raising admission to 500 dollars, with officers reappointed. The board noted passenger services, holiday events, and charitable gifts, while the licensing board granted several gasoline, victualers, and other licenses, and approved fireworks and carnival applications for May activities.

Women Republicans Board Holds Monthly Meeting in Topsham
The Saga dahoc Women’s Republican club governors met at Miss Mary Pelham Hill’s home in Topsham with 14 members present. Plans were set for the semiannual Bath meeting May 28 at 2 p.m. in City hall auditorium and a June picnic at Mrs. Henry W. Butler’s Sebasco home. A county candidate gave a brief address after the business. Miss Estella M. Bowden returned home from Natick, Mass. after two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Morse.

Saga dahoc Pomona Meets Wednesday With Enterprise
Enterprise grange of Richmond hosted Saga dahoc Pomona last week. The fifth degree was conferred on four from Dromore, two from Enterprise, one from Dirigo. E. C. Patten of Topsham served as treasurer pro tem. Mrs. Arthur C. Lemont and Mrs. Fred K. Sturtevant, both of West Bath, were Ceres and Flora. A welcome address was given by Mrs. Rebecca and Past Chaplain William H. Gould of Merrymeeting grange. A program featured plants from Phillip Densmore greenhouse, a saxophone and accordion number, and a discussion on engaging youth in grange with speakers including E. C. Patten, Bea Leavitt, Lorenzo Massee, and Vincent W. Canham. The program closed with a patriotic tableau, music, a Richmond High school sketch “The Apple Pie,” and remarks on future marketing and frugality. Next meeting to be with Dromore grange in Phippsburg.
