Lockers Needed for Local Armory

Captain Elver A. Stickney of Battery H urged Bath to provide steel lockers for each member to prevent loss of gear. He cited a $187 annual shortfall due to difficulty tracking equipment, and noted a $7,000 state payroll in Bath. Armory funds have been cut to 900 this year, with 600 fixed rent and limited remaining for lights and incidentals. Lockers would cost about 400 and better protect the battery’s $20,000 in equipment, which he warned the Army Commission would condemn if not improved.
