Toll evasion and drunken driving arrest after bridge toll lapse
William A. Stewart of South Portland was held in the Woolwich lockup after driving by the Kennebec bridge toll house toward Bath without paying. Charged with drunken driving evading toll and improper registration, the 1925 Ford coupe had a missing rear tire and no tail light. A companion was jailed on intoxication charges. arraignment set for Monday.

The Felicia, a 148 foot diesel electric yacht built for Senator Jesse H. Metcalf of Providence Rhode Island, will launch Saturday August 1 from Bath Iron Works. Designed by Henry J. Gielow Inc the vessel carries 400 horsepower Cooper Dessem mer diesels two 37 K W generators a 17 crew and 4 000 mile cruising radius. It features multiple staterooms for five guests and owner accommodations amidships with a 17 knot top speed.
