Judge Frees Preble on Sunday Trapping Charge
Judge Harry Manser of Sagadahoc Superior Court ruled that the 24 hour trap visitation requirement and the Sunday hunting ban are distinct provisions. The decision in State vs Frank J. Preble holds that trapping may be done with daily trap checks, as the penal statute’s intent does not extend to barring Sunday trap visits.
