Bath Taxpayers League to Endorse Project
The Bath taxpayers association led by Hon. Joseph Torrey urges a Thursday 7:30 pm City Hall meeting to back routing Maine State Highway between Brunswick and Bath along rail lines from Cook's Corner to New Meadows River then Old Turnpike to Center Street. The plan aims to cut municipal costs by securing state bridge funding and reducing city liability for a distant bridge. Proponents expect federal recovery funds and ask officials to reallocate highway funds, detailing projected county road allocations and town limits work.
