Nazarene church members held a surprise farewell at Miss Lois Palmer’s home for departing pastor and his wife. Guests arrived eight, bearing ice cream cake and a purse of over twenty three dollars, with remarks by Ralph Pinkham and a tender response by Mr Jett. The couple and their son Howard Samuel headed to Johnson then Lawrenceburg Tennessee for new service.

Charles Sias 86 West Point Resident Dies in Brunswick
Charles Sias of West Point died Wednesday of last week in Brunswick after an illness of about six weeks. Born in Exeter New Hampshire he was 86. He moved to West Point 25 years ago as a caretaker for Dr Bongartz later worked for the Folsoms and for the last three years lived with Mrs Sarah Wallace. He formerly served in the Beverly Massachusetts fire department.

Funeral services for Charles Sims 86 Exeter NH native long time West Point resident were held Friday afternoon at two in West Point church. Rev Charles R Sims pastor of First Baptist church officiated. Burial was in the family lot in West Point cemetery.

Brunswick to seek funds for poor relief and high school
Brunswick expended its entire 15000 poor fund and will ask town meeting for at least 10000 more, possibly 15000, taking total poor expenditure to 30000 in the year. The meeting will also consider a new high school to replace the overcrowded 20 year old building, with plans to borrow from the Federal Public Works fund.

Small Boy Injured After Fall From Truck
Six year old Robert Westfall, son of Mrs. Thomas Westfall, sustained cuts to the head and a possible concussion after allegedly falling from the rear of a Mill Pond Ice Co. truck on Washington Street in front of Winter Street church. Edward Bourget and Merrill Niles, occupants of the truck, were unaware of the accident until a passerby alerted them. The boy, a student at North Street primary, was taken to City hospital by Edward Tietig who happened to pass by in his automobile. Authorities lack a coherent witness account due to the frightened condition of the child and missing corroboration.
