The Organ Society of the First Congregational church held its annual meeting at Mrs. R Marston’s home with Mrs Hariet C Jackson absent. Alberta M Larrabee led the session and a slate including Josephine Foye and Viola Adams was elected. A New Year tree gift exchange followed and a tea was served. The Woman’s club of Wiscasset met at Mrs Henry W Webb’s home with illness and icy streets reducing attendance. a $5 health bond was voted and Dr Harland A Ladd spoke on Education in Maine. West Bath Grange Meets With Visitors in Monthly Session
West Bath Grange held its Monday meeting with over 60 in attendance including visitors. The program opened with Be Faithful O Patron sung by the group and featured a Tonette solo, a question on best methods of selling farm products discussed by David Henderson, Herbert Simpson, and Edwin W Haggett, and a Penny march won by a visiting ranger. A general quiz followed with winners Miss Vivian White and Miss Dorothy Boudreau, plus a piano duet by Mrs Florence Farnham and Mrs Esther Andrews, and a de facto closing by Mrs Persis Muller. Refreshments were provided by the lady officers.

Local man Danny Fraser returns home to recover from war injuries
Danny Fraser a Beacon Street church and Junior YMCA basketball veteran and North End multi sport athlete has returned to his parents at 4 Franklin Street after an honorable discharge as Seaman 1c. He survived torpedo and air attack injuries in the Mediterranean, endured multiple fractures and burns, received 15 quarts of plasma, and now uses crutches with a leg in a cast while recuperating and awaiting further treatment at Portland Marine Hospital.

Force Service Command Unit members Willard Cooper and Grace Hiram G. Kenneth Drake Recalls War Service At Rotary Meeting
Kenneth Drake recently discharged from the U S Navy shared his Mediterranean and Far East war experiences at a Rotary luncheon in Odd Fellows hall.
