Bath Maine Employment Security Commission reports a 50 percent rise in November placements to 382, with 238 agricultural and 144 non agricultural. At month end 261 job openings remained, including 86 for pipefitters and welders and 100 for sewing machine operators. Thirty handicapped workers sought work, and three were placed.
