Arrowsic Toll Exemption Question Sparks Bridge Debate
Arrowsic residents may have been illegally exempt from tolls for decades, prompting scrutiny of the bridge’s finances and ownership. If tolls had been paid, funds might have kept the structure in repair, potentially preventing recent breakdowns and outages. Debate focuses on legality of exemptions, the charter’s scope, and possible post office and Georgetown involvement.
