Cheyenne reports completion of plans for marking state routes with standard white signs bearing black lettering and route numbers. Mileposts will accompany signs to show county mileage while highway associations continue their color coded route markings for travelers. Construction will begin once routes are identified and surveys done.
In Pittsburg William J. Bryan warned that delays in ratifying the peace treaty could bring bloodshed and woe. He cited primary results showing divided Democratic support and urged ratification with reservations to avert global chaos and domestic distraction. He argued party inaction would share responsibility for future turmoil.
