Government advances 3515 million to railroads eight months
Director General McAdoo says from April to December the government lent over 3515 million to railroads for new equipment and operating deficits. Of this 199 million came from surplus earnings and the American Railway Express company, while 216 million drew on a 500 million revolving fund. Congress may need another half billion soon. Judge P W Metz departed Wednesday for Thermopolis to handle court matters.
