Woman Shot in Greybull Accidental Death Verdict Issued

Mrs Olive Miller wife of Burlington employee in Greybull was shot while talking with another woman and three children. A 22 caliber bullet penetrated three intestines and caused death. Coroner's inquest found accidental death with stray bullet likely from neighborhood shooters. Authorities found no evidence of intent to harm and the Millers are well known in Greybull.

Ed Young Wounded in France During World War I

Mr and Mrs David Young of Otto received a war department telegram stating their son Ed was seriously wounded in France on November 11. This news came two days before the armistice signing. Friends here hope for his speedy recovery and return home.

A supply of sex yarn has been received at the Red Cross work room. Denver headquarters instructs all Red Cross yarn be in the work room by January 4 to allow invoicing. Please finish garments and return by the stated time.

Divorces Granted in District Court

In district court the past week Athelda Ove was granted a divorce from Joverson Oe and Marie Vinerwon was granted a divorce from Blimer Bierson. The plaintiff in the second case received custody of a minor child.

Death of Mrs. John Luman Noted in Basin Community

The Basin country mourns Mrs. Susan Brisnet Luman age 82 at the family home above Hyattville after a long illness. She married John Luman in 1875 and had three children two of whom died in infancy. Funeral services were held at the Hyattville home conducted by Rev C Wardlaw with a Hyattville quartet. interment followed in Hyattville Cemetery. She was esteemed as a longtime Basin resident and devoted wife and mother.

Death of Mabel Ackerman after typhoid illness

Mabel Marie Ackerman died at her parents' Nowood home on December 1 after an eight week typhoid battle. Born December 1 1915 she leaves parents a sister a brother and grandparents S M Stout Basin plus relatives in Oklahoma. Funeral at the grandparents' home in Bagan with Rev C Wardlaw officiating, burial Mount View Cemetery.

Train Hits Automobile Near Basin

Thos. C. Marshall and Paul Moss returning to Greybull from Basin had their Reo car die on the track near the hospital crossing. They jumped clear as a northbound passenger train reached them and pushed the car off the rails. The train halted, picked up the pair, and the damaged vehicle was to Basin that night.

Death of Alec Fink in Ra-Pa

Alec Fink the year old son of John Mink of the North bench expired last Sunday evening after complications from an attack of the illness. Funeral services were held the same day conducted by Rev Spits of Lovell, interment in Mount View cemetery. The community extends sympathy to the bereaved parents.

Colored man bound over in murder case

Joseph E. King colored is bound over to the next district court term on a first degree murder charge in the death of Ollie Price after a Wednesday preliminary hearing before Justice J R Bonwell. State witnesses included G Hartigan Oscar Robertson and Dr M H Smith. King offered no testimony.

Death of Mrs May Evans in Basin

Ida May Evans wife of W E Evans died Wednesday morning after pneumonia. Born July 25 1887 she was 31 years 4 months 21 days old. Married October 23 1907 in Foss Oklahoma to W E Evans they had a four year old daughter. Remains were taken to Billings for funeral and interment. She resided in Basin three years and was sister of Mrs L W Olson. The community extends sympathy to the family.
