Washington reports December 1 crop estimates show the 1920 farm crops worth 12.27 billion dollars, a new record. Area planted totals 355.9 million acres, up 10.7 million from last year, with corn below the five year average but wheat and tobacco near records. Corn and wheat lead in value at 3.5 and 2.0 billion dollars respectively, while hay, cotton, oats exceed a billion each.

Death in River Traps Near Manderson
A sad accident near Manderson this week killed Willie Morgan. On Tuesday morning Lee Morgan aged 18 and his 17 year old brother William returned to their river traps. A drift pile along the Big Horn river hid a trap that caused the fatality.

Tragedy as Rifle Misfire Fatal to Willie Morgan
Elder brother's 22 rifle discharged while the younger boy tended the trap fatally striking Willie Morgan in the hip. Dr. M H Smith gave aid, but the boy died yesterday at 8 30 am. Funeral planned this afternoon with burial in Manderson cemetery. The community offers sympathy to the family.

Narrow escape on slippery hill near Hyattville
Last Sunday R W Spratt’s heavily loaded freight wagon slid on a rain slick hill south of Hyattville and teetered on a ravine edge. John Seaman and a team of assistants retrieved the wagon and got it back on the road without injury.

Death of Mrs Wakefield in Mount View Cemetery
Mrs Rosina Wakefield mother of Mrs 8 F Owen and Mrs Elsie Hoel died at the home of the latter from influenza. Services were conducted by Rev C Wardlaw at the Baptist church and she was laid to rest in Mount View cemetery. Born April 17 1845 in Potsdam New York she married Alvin Wakefield August 29 1864 and had five children. She was a longtime member of the Methodist church.

Association Formed to Combat Predatory Animals in Natrona County
The Natrona County agent organizes ranchers into a Predatory Animal Association to cooperate with the U S Department of Agriculture Biological Survey in coyote wolf and bobcat control. A fund between 3600 and 8000 dollars will be raised by a two cent tax on every cattle and sheep head in the county. The campaign will be supervised by the Biological Survey.

Theron Emery died the first of the week in Alliance after a flu illness while en route to Omaha with stock. Death of W. P. Kilby in Wyoming
Walter P. Kilby died last Friday morning at the Emergency Red Cross hospital after influenza. Born in Virginia on August 4, 1887, he had resided in Wyoming for several years.
