Wilson Presses League of Nations Link to Peace

Paris, Dec 18. After four days of talks, President Wilson’s advisers say the league of nations foundation remains inseparable from the peace treaty. Dee Record For Soldiers County Historian Committee Appointed

A. W. Coons is named chairman of the county historical committee of the Council of National Defense. The panel will collect Wyoming soldiers’ service records after the holidays, with assistants to be appointed in various communities. All returning soldiers and relatives are urged to cooperate to preserve the records.

Sugar Officials Visit Basin to Discuss Beet Contracts

W P Hogarty manager and Chas Hedke field agent of the Great Western Sugar Co of Lowell were in Basin this week to settle business with local farmers for the year and to discuss contracts for next year. Hogarty praised Basin business men for their support and noted an outlook for increased acreage. the company expects to handle all beets that can be grown next season.

Revenue Man Harry Davis Searches For Tax Defaulters

Deputy internal revenue collector Harry 8. Davis has been in town to round up residents who have not paid their special taxes and to review income statements. He warns of penalties for failing to file proper income tax returns and suggests several in town may have shirked their obligations.
