Boulder City Bid Call Set for January Construction
Las Vegas reports Walker R. Young assistant engineer in charge for the Bureau of Reclamation says bids will be called early in January for Boulder City construction. R. 8. Deboer and A. G. Kaufmann, technical experts, will advise the government on various construction aspects. A final survey arrives late this week for the new city to house thousands of Hoover Dam workers during the eight year project.

Washington notes the Prohibition Director announced immunity for home wine makers under federal law so the final fermentation can occur at home and unfermented grape juice from California will be marketed widely. Woodcock said federal agents are unlikely to interfere as long as wine is not intoxicating in fact and noted a 12 percent alcohol content not proving intoxication in the Hill Baltimore case.
