Pacific Standard Model Ox aeroplane landed at Yermo Monday morning while returning from Las Vegas to Venice with Emery H. Rogers and H. J. Hill. The flight covered 4 hours 40 minutes Venice to Las Vegas, 2 hours Las Vegas to Yermo, at a max altitude of 7000 feet. Fuel cost for Venice to Las Vegas was $12.25 for two people and cargo.
An automobile race is planned for Sunday afternoon December 26 at Paradise Lake north of Barstow. Organizers emphasize a family friendly event with several car classes and a trophy for the winner. Proceeds will support a community fund and local volunteers will manage safety and parking.
