Easter Program Delights Desert Residents at Rand District
In Rand district, Easter Sunday events drew attendees from ten towns to Randsburg under the American Sunday School Union. Rev. J W McKean of Fresno delivered the morning sermon on Johns Easter story. Afternoon discussions followed a church service with a cafeteria lunch. Evening service featured The Prodigal Son sermon. A June Children’s Day in Iyokern is planned with Rev. McKean and Lloyd E Hansen leading.

Black Hawk Tungsten Mining seeks patent for multiple Lodes
In Independence California on April 14 1922 the Black Hawk Tungsten Mining Corporation filed for patent for 1500 feet of the BRYAN and QUEEN lodes plus extensions and multiple MULTUM IN PARVO lodes in the Atolla Mining District San Bernardino County. The claim covers surface ground up to 600 feet wide across several sections with surveyed boundaries and variations. Adjoining claims include Redondo Pete, Angliewood, Attilia and St Helenia lodes. Adverse claims must be filed within nine consecutive weeks via the U S Land Office or be barred.

The Barstow Chamber of Commerce asks local business people and residents to join as members to fund advertising, mailing, and outreach. With Park to Park Highway Commission inquiries and growing interest in Barstow, dues are 100 dollars monthly for business members and 50 cents for all others, payable quarterly in advance.
