Los Angeles April 16 The California Taxpayers Association warns Senate Bill No 673 will create a shortfall of 25 to 30 million dollars in the state teachers retirement fund due to accrued liability The act would tax each California teacher 42 dollars per year with the state matching 42 dollars per teacher The plan would boost annual funding by 84 dollars per teacher totaling about 1 750 000 from teachers and 1 750 000 from the state for roughly 42 000 teachers
