Yellow Aster deal fuels mining camp hopes in desert showplace
Surface indications favor a sale of Yellow Aster to San Francisco mining interests. North party observers have long studied the arrangement, with the famous mine drawing visitors regardless of who they represent. If completed, three large groups could shift into active development, signaling a thriving future for Kern and San Bernardino counties mining districts. Prospecting continues at Pillers Gulch and nearby mines as leasers align for milling at Big Butte and other plants. New ore runs and pay rock discoveries accompany calls from Sunshine, Napoleon, and Rand districts, with veteran prospectors returning and new machines to test gold savers amid a dry-season outlook.
