Great Migration Back to Mexico Under Way
The exodus of Mexican families from Southern California accelerates as more than 10,000 are returning to Mexico monthly. Rafael De La Colina says the drain, driven by economy and immigration fears, will likely reach 60,000 to 75,000 by midsummer with thousands more departing unnoticed. The Comite Mexicano de Beneficencia reports 3,000 families seeking aid for departure.
