Brunswick man to revive Murphey mill site at Barnesville

Mr. James McRae of Brunswick Georgia bought the Murphey mill place near Barnesville from Mr. S M Howard. He plans to upgrade the old mill house and equip it for corn manufacture and to establish a foundry and machine shop serving Barnesville and the surrounding area. The experienced machinist will move his family here early next year and expects a cordial welcome from locals.

Stafford-Huguley Hosiery Co. Reopens Plant Operations

The Stafford-Huguley Hosiery Co. reopened its new plant on Tuesday after a Monday test run and resumed deliveries. Manager Frank M. Stafford says the facility now operates at 100 dozen pairs per day and will add new machines as orders grow, with night work to meet demand.
