Barnard Breaks Ties With Columbia French Society

Barnard College ends its connection with the Columbia French Society after delayed decision and planning for the annual play. Dean and French Department urged independence to keep Barnard and Columbia undergrad groups separate yet maintain friendly relations.

The current issue announces the retirement of the paper’s founders from active work and Miss Sadie F. Nones is elected Editor in Chief. The 1902 Board offers congratulations and wishes her success in guiding the Bulletin’s continued form and management.

College Glee Club Reorganized Seeks Wide Joiners

Annulled efforts give way to a new college glee club with plans for two rehearsal divisions vocal and instrumental. Anyone who can play an instrument is urged to join and submit time cards to committee members. Popular music will be chosen by the club and performances will mix work with social opportunities.

Earl Hall Opens with Formal Dedication and Student Use

Earl Hall opened on Saturday March 8 with a formal ceremony for Ottunbia students and later for faculty. Dr Canfield presented the building to students. Dean Van Amringe spoke on the College University relation. Local leaders and coaches addressed attendees. A March 16 reception welcomed women students and access to the basement.

Columbia Philharmonic to Perform at Barnard Theatre March 22

Y. W. C. A. Elections Scheduled for March 27

The YWCA will hold its annual officer election on Thursday March 27 at 12 30 pm. A two thirds quorum is required for business. Members with nominations should hand them to the nominating committee before March 6. Committee members are Mrs Clark chair Miss Dutcher Miss Ware Miss Van Slyke and Miss Hutchinson.
