Author of anti war play reveals origin of Peace on Earth

George Sklar co author with Albert Maltz of the Theatre Union production at Civic Repertory Theatre on 14th Street and Sixth Avenue says Peace on Earth is not his first anti war play. His first play written and produced in Yale student days found success first at the university then at a Des Moines anti war meeting. He ties his theme to a Connecticut town that manufactured munitions during war and children who played war with scrap gun stocks.
