A humorous note claims the Barnard Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Students bought a mermaid from a fisherman for a Greek Games event. Poseidon is said to be upset, and a May 1 program at 8 p.m. in the pool titled Greek Games is announced as a tribute.
The Deutscher Kreis staged a puppet theatre performance on April 8 featuring Harisel Gretel and Struwwelpeter with a cautionary note urging readers to avert catastrophe. It invites all to attend Greek Games at 8 p.m. on May 1 with Sophists and Cynics competing.
