Air Conditioned Buildings Aid Farm Output and Homes
Engineer George Ley from Indianapolis told the Sixth Annual Air Conditioning Conference on the UT campus that air conditioning boosts farm production and enables houses with permanently closed windows. He cited gains in crop, milk, egg, and hog production and noted attic fans and louvers lead to rooms and sheds where windows never open. Ley praised UT research and the Southwest for top air conditioning work, with several experts from Dallas, New Orleans, St. Louis, Houston contributing to the program.
