County to sell warrants at low rate for road route
The County Judge said the commissioners agreed to commit funds to sell warrants at a low rate. The $150.00 road and bridge warrant covers right of way for an interstate route through the county. The board also bought a motor grader for Precinct 3 from Patten Machinery Co of San Antonio, the low bidder at 12600.

Funeral Service Scheduled Today For L. F. Tidwell
Funeral services for L. F. Tidwell who died after fighting a fire will be held at Willie-Donnelly Funeral Home today at 10 a.m. Justice of the Peace Frank McBee said Tidwell died from smoke inhalation during the incident on Venue and Street. He passed after reaching the hospital. Tidwell is survived by his widow Pauline Mercer Tidwell, son Carl Lucius Tidwell of Silverton, daughter Paula Douty of Austin, six sisters and five brothers in Texas and California. The Rev. A. K. Stevenson and John Davidson will officiate with burial at Capitol Memorial Park.
