Thorn dale Aug 9 Miss Bobbie Dean Kelm bride elect of Richard Love was honored with a lawn shower at the Henry Kelm home. Hostesses included Mrs Harry Schwartz Mrs Minnie Schmale and others. Gifts were presented in a green and white railroad cart as guests enjoyed group singing and refreshments for the honoree her mother Mrs Henry Kelm and the bridegroom to be’s mother Mrs Howard Love. Plate favors were ribbon tied announcements and miniature carts.
Double ring vows were exchanged Aug 3 at the home of the bride’s relatives in Austin. Miss Jeannette Blackwell and J L Syme wed with Rev E E Wheelers officiating. The couple will live on a ranch near Jarrell after the ceremony.

Card Club with Mrs Gilkins at 1205 Hillside 7 30 p m. Travis Chapter 472 CES holds mas cot ceremony 7 45 p m and regular meeting 8 p m at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
Lam pasas County clubs held their annual encampment at Hancock Park Lampasas with baskets for lunch. Demonstrations included yarn lamp shade making by Mrs Clint Terry Kempner club sandwiches by 4 H girls stenciling by Mrs Homer Eddy and rug making by Mrs M W Crider.
Mr and Mrs L L Marburger entertained with a Friday fish fry at their Coupland home honoring houseguests Mr and Mrs F D Marburger and their sons Gary and Alan of Houston. Attending were Lonnie Leonard Ronnie Marburger and Mr and Mrs J K Harkins of Taylor.
