Proposals Invited for War Supplies and Mail Service

Government calls for proposals to supply rations and military provisions at Michilimackinac Detroit Fort Osage and others across Ohio Kentucky Tennessee and New York area for 1813 14 with prices set per ration and risk of losses paid by the United States. Public mail contracts offered across North and South Carolina Georgia and Georgia routes with schedules and penalties for delays.

Mail Contract Proposals Sought by Postmaster General

The Post Office seeks proposals for mail routes with quarterly pay and set contract dates. Proposers must name annual prices, pay issued February May August and November, and only free white persons may transport mail. The Postmaster General may cancel contracts for any trip loss, with routes 1–33 running to December 11, 1814 and others to December 31, 1813.
