Edward Jordan and Joseph Cotton advertise Whip a celebrated imported horse standing in Washington for thirty dollars the season or twenty dollars for a single visit with mare in foal options. They tout Whip’s pedigree from Saltram Eclipse and King Herod, his outstanding racing record in Virginia and England, and offer generous mare provisions, liveried groom, and free season incentives through July 26.

Certificate from G Force Ruffin and other local gentlemen of Prince George county dated Dec 11 1104 attests that the imported horse belonging to Edward Jordane has fed well for two seasons and produced many foals considered equal or superior in form to offspring of similar horses. Residents urged to sign to support the horse’s reputation.
