Notice of Vacancies at Ladies Academy Seminary

Two vacancies offered at an established seminary with forty year terms. 120 dollars per year payable quarterly in advance. A pamphlet Mental Hociculture explains the curriculum. A close carriage runs to church each Sabbath. Sale of estate of Elizabeth Belldec and Arthur Bell guardianship and administrator's sale of Charles Comers estate including property and household items will occur June 29 at the plantation.

Reward Offered for Billy Missing from Beach Island

A notice offers 10 dollars for the capture or return of Billy a 24 year old Black male about 5 6 to 5 7 feet tall with dark hair and a faded coat. He was last seen the night of the 26th near Beach Island and may try to work as a river boat hand toward Savannah. The sheriff lists assistance to identify and return him. A separate item notes a boy about twelve held in Richmond Jail who belongs to Mr Norton of Savannah and directs the owner to claim him per law.

Sheriff's Sale Notice and Court Petition Proceedings

Public notice of a sheriff sale on the first Tuesday in June 2024 at Augusta Market House for land in Wilkison County and multiple personal property levies including horses a chair and harness a enslaved woman Lydia and a horse. Sheriff's Sales Notice of Land and Property Actions

On the Art Tuesday in June next at the Court house in Wayneborough between 10 and 2 o'clock, sales will occur. Properties include 100 acres in Burke county adjoining Richard Vivsco and Reddin Ballinger owned by James and Wm Gains, and two enslaved people Peter and Dave from Peter Wynn estate. Also 2025 acres in Baldwin No 4 for Thomas Boren levied by John Bell and Thomas Mills, 250 acres in Burke county near Lively and Telfair for J Lambertson and J Lambertson Jr, two cows and one yearling for Thomas Haines, household items from Sumner Sumner, and various furnishings and livestock for Sumner Sumner. Property Sales Under Warren County Court Order

Iron Gray Mare Advertised for Return on Spirit Creek

A likely five year old iron gray mare about 144 hands high with a large bell and colt, brought from Tennessee, missing near Little Spirit Creek twelve miles below Augusta.
