Ballard estate disputes revive 1882 will split in Atlantic area
Prolonged legal wrangles over Dr. S. M. Ballard's will, dating to 1882, touch 400 acres north of Atlantic, 8000 near Audubon, 1200 near Avees, and tied funds for a son, a daughter, and future heirs. A Avoca-based Robinson grandchild petitions to set aside arrangements directing £20,000 to O R Ballard, claiming the will was made when Mrs Ballard lacked sound mind and seeking the Council Bluffs charity property reallocation.
